DeKalb County police on Tuesday identified a 61-year-old man fatally struck in a weekend hit-and-run on I-285 as Bernard Leeks.
The victim was struck at the Indian Creek MARTA station exit as he walked along northbound I-285 about 3 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb police Maj. Stephen Fore said.
Police are still asking the public to help them find the vehicle and driver involved in the accident.
Detectives believe the vehicle is an SUV with front-end damage and a missing driver side mirror, Fore said. Police don’t know the color, make or model.
