Kerry Devon Milliner, 55 of Covington, was killed by a hit-and-run driver, Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman Tracey Watson said Monday.
He was killed by a vehicle while walking on Iris Drive in Conyers, not far from I-20, just before 6 a.m. Sunday.
The vehicle fled and another driver, who also struck Milliner, called 911, Watson said.
Authorities have not identified the hit-and-run driver, she said.
