Alpharetta police arrested Indiana Pacers’ Jordan Hill earlier this week after he allegedly drove 107 mph on GA 400, telling an officer he was “in a hurry.”

A shirtless Hill, 28, was driving a Range Rover when he was charged with reckless driving and speeding Tuesday afternoon, according to a police incident report obtained by Channel 2 Action News.

The NBA player, who has an Atlanta address, was booked into the city of Alpharetta’s North Fulton Jail annex and posted bond, according to public safety spokesman George Gordon.

Police said Hill was traveling northbound near Haynes Bridge Road in a black SUV shortly after 2 p.m. when he drove past a police officer who clocked his speed on radar and pursued the athlete until he stopped.

Police said they were also contacted by another driver who said he’d seen a black SUV driving recklessly on northbound Ga 400 near Mansell Rd.

At one point, Hill was within 3 feet of another vehicle while speeding, police said.

The officer who stopped Hill asked him why he was driving so fast, the police report said, “He answered that he was in a hurry.”

“We have been informed Jordan was arrested for allegedly reckless driving in Atlanta, Georgia,” Larry Bird, president of basketball operations for the Pacers, said in a statement. “It is obvious we don’t condone this. We will address this with Jordan. This is a major concern of safety, not just for Jordan, but for others.”

Hill was assigned a court date of Sept. 22.
