A 16-year-old is being charged as an adult after allegedly sexually assaulting another Cobb County teenager at gunpoint during a home invasion.

Jerome Bell was arrested Thursday after being accused of breaking into a home off Valley View Street in unincorporated Powder Springs on May 4, Cobb police told Channel 2 Action News. While in the home, the suspect allegedly forced a teenage boy to perform a sexual act at gunpoint.

The alleged invasion happened around 2 p.m. while the victim was home by himself, Channel 2 reported.

According to an arrest warrant, Bell “threatened to kill the victim if he told the police.” It’s unclear whether Bell knew the victim before the incident.

AJC.com only names juveniles accused of a crime if they are charged as an adult.

He faces several felonies, including aggravated sodomy and armed robbery, the news station reported. He was booked into the Cobb jail.
