A 13-year-old girl was found safe after a carjacker stole the vehicle she was sitting in Wednesday night, Channel 2 Action News reported.
Her mother’s car was stolen outside a Krispy Kreme on Ga. 85 in Riverdale, the report said.
The family told Channel 2 that the carjacker realized the girl was in the backseat and let her out a few miles down the road, where she flagged down another car and called for help.
She was later taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston to be checked out, but her family says she appears to be fine, Channel 2 said.
Police are still looking for the green 1999 Chrysler sedan.
