An 18-year-old accused of shooting his foster sister inside a DeKalb County home Tuesday morning is also wanted on aggravated assault charges in Henry County, police said.
Nathaniel Lopez remains on the run after police got a call about a girl being shot in a home at the intersection of Toney Drive and Glendale Drive. He faces aggravated assault and battery charges.
Lopez allegedly shot the girl in the foot following a dispute, DeKalb police spokeswoman Shiera Campbell said.
The girl was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and is in stable condition.
No details were immediately known about the aggravated assault charges in Henry County.
DeKalb SWAT officials blocked off the neighborhood while they searched Lopez’s home and later discovered he was not there. No one else was inside the home at the time.
Lopez and his foster sister lived at the home with their mother and Lopez’s two teenage siblings.
