A man was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds near a DeKalb County liquor store Thursday night, authorities said.

The man, who police said appeared to be in his early 30s, was found near the intersection of Memorial Drive and Rockbridge Road. The intersection houses a package store and the Elsa Food Mart, an Ethiopian grocery store.

Officers on the scene told Channel 2 Action News they believe the shooter ran away from the scene.

Detectives have not determined a motive behind the shooting, and they do not have any information on potential suspects, DeKalb County police spokesman Michaela Vincent said Friday morning.

Anyone with information is asked to contact DeKalb County police.
