A 58-year-old man was killed and another man injured when they were robbed and shot late Saturday in southwest Atlanta, according to police.
The two men were on Perkerson Road, in the area of Metropolitan Parkway and Cleveland Avenue, when they were robbed and shot around 11 p.m., Atlanta police Officer Ralph Woolfolk said. Phillip Carter, who lived in Atlanta, died at the scene, Woolfolk said.
The man who survived, whose name was not released, was able to give officers some details about the three suspects, believed to have been traveling in a dark-colored Dodge Caravan. Two men were in the front seats and a woman was in the rear of the van, Woolfolk said.
As of Monday night, no arrests had been made.
