Cobb County police have arrested three teens and a young woman from Atlanta in conneciton with the shooting death of an Austell man during an apparent carjacking.

Franklin C. Callens, 27, was found dead in a parking lot of the Concept 21 Apartments on Six Flags Drive Sunday morning in what detectives deduced was a carjacking, Sgt. Dana Pierce said on Monday.

Police booked a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy into the Cobb County youth detention center on charges of murder, aggravated assault and hijacking a motor vehicle. Police did not release the boys’ names even though they have been charged as adults.

Police also arrested a 16-year-old girl on charges of giving false statements to police and put her into the detention center. Chynetria Canty, 18, also was arrested on charges of giving false statements and booked into the Cobb jail.
