Nearly three weeks after a bystander was killed during a shootout outside a southwest Atlanta apartment complex, police arrested two men on murder charges.

Terrance Hill and Devonte Hill were arrested Friday in a car after officers recognized Terrance Hill, who was wanted in the July 25 shootout, Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah said.

The shootout outside the Summerdale Commons on Old Hapeville Road killed Gloria Armour, who was sitting in a separate car. She was shot in the chest, Atlanta police Officer Lukasz Sajdak said.

Armour, 59, of Ellenwood, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital alert and conscious. She later died from her wounds.

It is unclear if Terrance Hill and Devonte Hill are related. They are being held without bond at the Fulton County jail and are scheduled to appear in court Aug. 26 for preliminary hearings, sheriff’s spokeswoman Tracy Flanagan said.

“As more information becomes available in this investigation, we will release it,” Hannah said.
