An Ellenwood man was arrested in connection with an early Wednesday drive-by shooting that left two Stone Mountain men dead.

Meanwhile, an off-duty Atlanta police officer was arrested when he crossed police tape at the scene to see if his son was one of the victims. Later, he was placed on paid administrative leave.

The shooting happened shortly after midnight on Eberline Court, in a neighborhood off Rockbridge Road near Stone Mountain.

One victim was found dead in the driveway of a home, and a second victim later died at a local hospital, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Police identified the victims as Langston Colzie, 20, and Marvin Lewis, 23, both of Stone Mountain.

Christian Brice Davis, 21, of Ellenwood, was arrested and charged with two counts of voluntary manslaughter, DeKalb County Jail records show.

Gregory Turan Morris, an off-duty Atlanta police officer who lives in the neighborhood, was shocked with a Taser and arrested when he allegedly hit a DeKalb officer after crossing the crime scene tape to see if his son was one of the victims, according to Channel 2.

Morris was charged with simple battery and obstruction of officers, and released from the DeKalb County Jail about two hours after being booked in early Wednesday, jail records show.

The officer’s son was not injured, but did witness the shooting, and gave police a statement, Channel 2 reported.
