Clayton County police are looking for a man who may have shot another man over money, authorities said Wednesday.
Carey Raymond Duke Jr., 27, allegedly shot Joshua Norred, 36, at the StayInn and Suites hotel after the two argued over money, Clayton police spokeswoman Sgt. Ashanti Marbury said. Norred was taken to a hospital, where he later died.
Authorities were originally searching for Adrian Fillmore, 35, and Christopher Bause, 37, who were identified as persons of interest by police in connection with the Sept. 10 shooting along Davidson Parkway. Fillmore and Bause spoke with police and identified Duke as the alleged shooter, Marbury said. Duke is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information about Duke’s whereabouts is asked to call Clayton Det. K. Green at 770-477-3659. Tipsters can remain anonymous by calling 770-477-3513 or texting 274627.
