Police are offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man accused of shooting his way into four Ross Stores in metro Atlanta and robbing them.

The alleged robber hit the Perimeter Place location in Dunwoody on May 4, authorities said. Just after closing, the man fired gunshots at the store’s door, grabbed cash bags from a shopping cart and left the store with $1,612, police said.

Police said the robber, who was caught on surveillance cameras, struck just as the manager was counting money.

Before that incident, police said the man used similar tactics to rob stores in Gainesville, Johns Creek and Lawrenceville.

He hit the Gainesville location in August, the Johns Creek store in October and the Lawrenceville site in February.

In Johns Creek, police say he struck the Medlock Bridge Road store at closing time Oct. 27 and stole about $4,000, AJC.com previously reported.

"Once inside, (he) confronted an employee that had some of the money from the deposit and demanded that she drop the bags, and he grabbed the bags and fled,” Johns Creek police Capt. Chris Byers said soon after the robbery. “So fortunate nobody was hurt with the bullets, with the flying glass or anything like that.”

Details about the Gainesville and Lawrenceville robberies have not been released.

Police urge anyone with information about the robberies to contact Crime Stoppers. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by contacting Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
