Crash cleared at I-75 and Ga. 20 in Bartow County
By Jon Gargis
Oct 22, 2014A crash that shut down travel on Ga. 20 and slowed northbound traffic on Interstate 75 in Bartow County has been cleared, Georgia Department of Transportation officials announced around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Officials added that some congestion remains in the area, and that drivers should use an alternate route to avoid delays.
Georgia State Patrol officials earlier Wednesday afternoon said a two tractor-trailer crash led to the lane closures. They said both trucks were traveling northbound on I-75 in the right lane. As the truck in the front re-entered the right lane from the shoulder, it was struck in the rear by the other truck.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
