Country singer Reba McEntire had to be rescued from a building in Oklahoma earlier this week after a staircase collapsed during a tour, according to reports.

No one was seriously injured in the accident that happened Tuesday on East Court Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Atoka, about 130 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

McEntire was touring the historic building with her boyfriend Rex Linn and several others when the stairs buckled and blocked the exits, according to News 12 KXII-TV.

The visitors were trapped for a short time on the second floor, News 12 reported. There was no indication that anyone was on the staircase when it came tumbling down.

Firefighters soon arrived and helped McEntire and the others climb through a second-floor window and then down a ladder.

The rescue was captured on video. One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, News 12 reported.

McEntire, a native of the area, later tweeted about the incident, telling fans she was OK.

“We were safely evacuated from the building thanks to the quick response from the Atoka fire and police departments,” the singer wrote.

News 12 indicated that McEntire may have been at the building as part of a renovation project.
