A 25-year-old man was shot and killed during a fight with his mother’s boyfriend, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
Deputies were called late Wednesday to a home on Quail Hollow Drive in south Forsyth, according to Deputy Doug Rainwater. James Tanner Conrad was in the living room and had been shot, Rainwater said.
Conrad was taken to North Fulton Hospital, but died from his injuries, according to police.
Investigators believe that Frank Eugene Huffman shot Conrad during an altercation inside the home, where both lived with Conrad’s mother, whose name was not released. The woman was also taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries from the altercation, Rainwater said.
Huffman was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated assault, and was being held without bond Thursday afternoon at the Forsyth County jail.
The shooting remains under investigation.
