The Ambassador Bridge border crossing between the United States and Canada has fully reopened Monday afternoon, according to news outlet 570 News.

Canadian police have detained the driver of a vehicle that may have contained possible explosives on the Ambassador Bridge over the Detroit River, according to officials.

The driver is in the custody of the Canada Border Services Agency, according to a tweet from Windsor Police. No other people are believed to be involved in the “isolated incident,” officials said.

Earlier Monday, Windsor Police in Ontario evacuated the area and closed the bridge as an Explosive Disposal Unit was called to the scene to investigate.

A robot was being deployed amid the risk of an actual explosion.

Windsor Police said no threats were associated with the explosives.

Michigan State Police advised drivers to avoid the area, FOX2 Detroit reported.

The Windsor-Detroit Tunnel and the Blue Water Bridge were said to be unaffected by the emergency.
