Atlanta police early Tuesday were trying to determine what was taken during a smash-and-grab burglary at a Howell Mill Road auto parts store.

A brick was thrown through a side window of the Advance Auto Parts store in the 1600 block of Howell Mill Road just before 3:30 a.m., Atlanta police spokeswoman Kim Jones said.

“It appears that several cash register drawers were tampered with and one drawer was found on the floor,” Jones told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“At this time, it is not clear whether anything was taken from the building,” Jones said just after daybreak.
