BREAKING: 3-year-old dies after reportedly being shot in Tennessee

A 3-year-old has died after reportedly being shot late Thursday in Ooltewah, Tennessee, according to Hamilton County sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies were dispatched to the 8500 block of River Birch Loop Road about 10:40 p.m. Thursday after a reported shooting, officials said in a news release.

Jermonie Vinson, 3, reportedly was transported by family members to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Evidence indicates the child was shot at his residence, police said.

Jermonie’s body was transferred to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office, according to sheriff’s deputies.
