President Donald Trump was taken to an underground White House bunker amid protests Friday due to “terroristic threats,” reporter Marina Marraco said, citing the Secret Service.

The president was there for a “short time,” Marraco said.

The story first was reported by The New York Times and was confirmed by Fox News, Marraco said.

Earlier Sunday, Trump tweeted that “ANTIFA” will be designated a “Terrorist Organization.”

Antifa is regarded as a militant, left-wing, anti-fascist political activist movement in the United States.

It is made up of autonomous activist groups that try to achieve their political objectives through direct action instead of policy reform.

Activists from the group reportedly have engaged in various protest tactics including property damage, physical violence and harassment against those whom they identify as fascist, racist or on the far right.

The Trump administration reportedly is blaming far-left extremists for the violent protests that have been sweeping the nation after George Floyd's death in Minneapolis.
