Police are trying to track down the driver of a vehicle that hit a woman and two children at an Atlanta truck stop Tuesday morning.

The three were hit around 6:45 a.m. at the Petro Atlanta Travel Center on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway just inside the Perimeter. The vehicle, described only as silver, did not stop, according to Atlanta police.

While their injuries were not considered serious, the woman and children were taken to a hospital as a precaution, police spokesman Officer Jarius Daugherty told AJC.com. Police have not released the ages of the children or their relationship to the woman.

The police and fire activity briefly shut down most of Hollowell Parkway in front of the truck stop. The lanes have since reopened, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact Atlanta police. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and be eligible for rewards of up to $2,000, by calling Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting information to 274637 or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
