A man whose body was found in a metro park was the victim of a homicide, Fulton police said Monday night.

The body, which a pedestrian came across in a wooded area Monday afternoon at Creel Park in College Park, has not been identified, investigators said.

The man, believed to be in his early 20s, died from an apparent gunshot wound, police said.

Investigators believe the killing happened earlier in the day.
