Three men are facing drug trafficking charges after a traffic stop in Troup County led to the discovery of more than two dozen pounds of cocaine, authorities said.

Officials charged Roberto Pacheco-Diaz, Jose Zarate and Ramiro Rojas-Jarquin with felony cocaine trafficking after 29 pounds of the drug was found in a hidden compartment in their truck, according to officials.

The initial stop was related to a minor traffic violation, but during the incident the deputy saw “behavior consistent with criminal activity,” according to the sheriff’s office.

All three men were taken to the Troup County Jail, where they remain with no bond. Each faces one count of felony cocaine trafficking. Pacheco-Diaz faces additional charges of having a vehicle with a false compartment and following too closely.
