Multiple firefighters were reported safe and accounted for Wednesday after becoming trapped inside a burning house that collapsed in Westwood, New Jersey, according to several news reports.

Westwood Fire Chief Kevin Woods later confirmed that several firefighters became trapped when the front of the home collapsed. All were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No one was inside the home at the time of the blaze, reports said.

Images from the scene show a residence fully engulfed in flames that were licking at the treetops above a house on Oakland Avenue.

The fire was first reported on Twitter about 6 a.m. by North Jerzy Fire Alerts, a news outlet that covers emergencies in the region.

Emergency responders were en route, according to Anthony Zurita, a news reporter with The Record.
