UPDATE: Infant hospitalized, 5 dead in Milwaukee domestic shooting
Milwaukee police reported five victims of a deadly shooting late Monday morning. The shooter was likely related to the victims.
A child was hospitalized but is doing "fine," according to Mayor Tom Barrett. Police officials said the survivor was an infant and was spared by the shooter, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The victims, ranging from ages 14 to 41, were killed inside their home, according to reporter Sophie Carson.

Police were first notified of the shooting at 10:45 a.m. CDT.
“A man told dispatchers that ‘his family was dead,’ ” said Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales.
Ten minutes later, EMS and a fire truck were dispatched.
Crowds were seen gathered outside the home, at 12th and Locust streets, despite Wisconsin’s stay-at-home order due to COVID-19.
“Understand, this is a very tragic event,” Morales said at a news briefing near the scene of the shooting.

The suspect, who was arrested, was said to be Christopher P. Stokes, 43, according to officers, though his name was not officially announced at the news briefing. The weapon reportedly was recovered.
Morales said the victims “were all known to each other,” and their relationships are under investigation.
Stokes was under supervision from the Department of Corrections at the time of Monday’s shooting. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported his criminal history dates to 2002 and includes domestic abuse convictions and felony child abuse.
