Bartow road improvements to be discussed

The Georgia Department of Transportation will hold a public information open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Allatoona Elementary School School, 4150 New Hope Church Road, Acworth, to talk about planned improvements to Glade Road in Bartow County.

DOT officials want to hear input from area residents on plans to reconstruct a 3.7-mile stretch from Homestead Drive to Ryan Road. Plans call for improving the horizontal and vertical curvature of the two-lane road to improve safety, upgrading intersections and replacing the bridge over Allatoona Lake.
