The roller-coaster ride of Atlanta temperatures will bring a warmer Wednesday, according to Channel 2 Action News forecasters.

But then, we’ll have two cold days before a weekend warm-up, chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.

Another “snowpocalypse” is not expected. But if you’re in north Georgia early Thursday, you could see some flurries or light snow, Burns said.

For metro Atlanta, it will likely just be cold and a little rainy.

Increasing clouds are expected Wednesday, when temperatures should reach the upper 50s, Burns said. An evening shower is possible, he said.

There is a 10 percent chance of rain on Thursday, which will be cooler, warming only to the middle 40s. Light snow is possible in far north Georgia early Thursday, but little to no accumulation is expected, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be dry, but again chilly, Burns said. Morning lows Thursday and Friday will dip to the middle 30s.

Sunny skies are in the weekend forecast. Sunday afternoon’s high is predicted to reach 64 degrees, Burns said.
