Monday’s expected showers gave way to a few rays of sunshine amid mostly overcast skies by late afternoon, making for some happy commuters around Metro Atlanta.
But there will be plenty to wet spirits here the rest of the week, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz who said there will be “rain chances every day.”
That starts with Monday night when, Nitz said, some showers and “even a rumble of thunder” are forecast to make their way through the area.
Temperatures will hold relatively mild in the 60s overnight, however, climbing to the mid-70s on Tuesday. It will cool later in the week to highs in the 60s by Thursday.
The daily chances of rain are around 70 percent early in the week and only slightly less toward the end of the week and, “We keep showers into the weekend,” Nitz said.
