The city of South Fulton is debuting a new park on Saturday, which is international Earth Day.

Officials are looking for volunteers (who will get a free T-shirt) to stain fences, uproot/clip weeds, plant flowers and pick up trash at what will now be known as Campbellton Nature Preserve Park, according to a news release from the city.

“This park is a gift that will keep on giving for generations to come,” said Councilwoman Catherine Rowell.

There will be a guided walk between 30 and 45 minutes of the park/trails and an overview of everything else the park has to offer.

Those interested in attending and/or volunteering should arrive at the park, on Plummer Road Southwest, at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Progress continues at Campbellton Creek Nature Park! Looking forward to the April 23rd event!
