Leaders from Henry County and the south metro Atlanta community’s four cities will hold a town hall Wednesday to discuss road and infrastructure projects that are part of November’s TSPLOST referendum.

The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be held virtually at henrySPLOST.com. It will include leaders from the county and the cities of Stockbridge, McDonough, Locust Grove and Hampton.

Officials are hoping residents will say yes on Nov. 2 to a penny increase in Henry’s sales tax to pay for a $245 million transportation SPLOST over the next five years. Road widenings make up the majority of the list of infrastructure improvements, including expansions of Ga. 81, Bill Gardner Parkway, Jonesboro Road and Mill Road.

Some funds will be used to resurface and repair neighborhood and subdivision streets and sidewalks as well.
