3 victims hospitalized after shooting in Macon

Three people remain hospitalized after being shot and wounded Sunday night at a home in Macon, according to reports.

The victims were identified as 37-year-old Tavares Devon Lavender and 38-year-old Althonio Leon Carlisle, who are both in stable condition, according to WGXA, which cited the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. A third victim, 46-year-old Percy Welch Jr., was in critical condition, the station reported.

All three were shot in the backyard of a home on Cherry Avenue in Macon, however, the circumstances of what led to the shooting remain unclear, WGXA reported.

Authorities have not indicated who fired the shots or whether a suspect was being sought.

Police are continuing to investigate.
