A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that could lead DeKalb police detectives to arrest those who shot and killed 23-year-old Tiffany Stephens in her Flat Shoals Road apartment near Decatur in August.
According to Capt. Stephen Fore, with information drying up, Stephens’ family put up the $5,000 — and they are hoping more will be contributed — in hopes the reward could lead to arrests and answers for them.
Stephens was new to the Atlanta area when she was died around 10:40 p.m. Aug. 7. Six months earlier, she had left New York and moved in with her boyfriend at the Shoals Crossing apartments.
It was her boyfriend who found her in the bedroom, shot multiple times, according to police. There were no no signs of forced entry or that anything had been stolen.
It was only after Stephens’ body was discovered that neighbors reported hearing shots fired earlier in the evening.
Information can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), online www.crimestoppersatlanta.org or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
