The Sandy Springs City Council has awarded a $3.59 million contract to improve the intersection of Roswell and Grogans Ferry roads.

Ohmshiv Construction LLC submitted the lowest of four bids and was awarded the project, pending approval of the city Legal and Finance departments. There are adequate TSPLOST funds to pay for the work, staff said in a report to the council.

Plans include widening Roswell Road to accommodate a concrete median, sidewalks, pedestrian-scale lighting and landscaping, and traffic signals, staff said. Ohmshiv also will be responsible for site grading and retaining walls, curbs and gutters, and erosion control measures.
