Roswell and Keep Roswell Beautiful are seeking volunteers to take part in the annual Rivers Alive Cleanup 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 18.

Rivers Alive is part of a statewide campaign to clean and preserve Georgia’s 70,100 miles of rivers and streams. This year project sites will include Riverside Park, Waller Park, Don White Memorial Park, Seven Branches, Old Roswell Cemetery, and sections of Big Creek, Foe Killer Creek, and Hog Waller Creek.

Volunteers will help with litter pick up, invasive plant removal, and storm drain marking. Refreshments and awards will conclude the day at Riverside Park.

Additionally, the Roswell Cultural Arts Center has offered all volunteers a 50% discount on “An Evening with the Atlanta Pops and Atlanta Braves Favorite, Timothy Miller” happening the day after the cleanup at 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept.19. Details will be shared with volunteers once they are registered.
