When planning for the Fiscal Year 2022 budget, Roswell staff requested $50,000 for a Film Roswell Marketing Program. The city’s mayor and council recently approved the request based on an analysis of the success and opportunities from the FY2021 Film Roswell program, current print and e-marketing trends, and film industry feedback and research.

Despite the pandemic, the Mayor’s Movie Task Force reported 38 productions in 2021, an 1,800% increase over 2020 representing gross revenue of $567,940.

The task force intends to use a combination of print and digital advertising, and Geoframing to attract future film projects to the city.

Funds for the marketing are available in the city’s Hotel/Motel under Tourism Product Development.
