Cumberland Academy of Georgia recently celebrated the dedication of The Howell Foundation Gymnasium.

“We can’t wait to create more big moments and memories in our new gym and thanks to Robin Howell and the Barbara N. and Don N. Howell Foundation,” said Cumberland Athletic Director Rodney Carlock. “From the bottom of our hearts, we are so happy to have the Howell name attached to the future moments we create in this gym, and we are so thrilled to have a gym that truly feels like home.”

Sandy Springs-based Cumberland Academy of Georgia serves students in grades 4 through 12 with high-functioning autism spectrum disorder, Aspergers, ADD/ADHD and other neurodiversities. Their current location, 650-A Mt. Vernon Highway, was purchased from Sandy Springs First Baptist Church. The school has been making significant renovations since the move.
