Henry County officials have announced a temporary closure of Mount Carmel Road on each side of Mill Road. According to a statement posted Sept. 30 on the county’s official Facebook page, the closure is for construction work related to placing a roundabout at that intersection and is expected to remain in place into early November pending good weather.

The crossing of Mount Carmel Road at that point remains open to traffic for Mill Road motorists, but there may be intermittent stop control depending on the type and location of the work in progress. Detour signs have been placed on Mount Carmel Road on both sides of the closure. Information: henrycounty-ga.com.
