The most recent graduating class from Henry County’s public schools helped the district raise its average Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores for the second consecutive year, according to district officials who recently received the results from the College Board, the national organization that administers the test. The composite mean score for the county went from 1003 in 2019 to 1010 last year and now 1029 this year. In 2021 the district saw the number of test takers drop by an overall average of 42 percent, which officials said is comparable with the state and national trends during that time as Georgia and other states waived standardized test scores as a requirement for college admission.
