Citing a recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Henry County, public school officials announced that all students will resume classes Jan. 11 in remote learning with an anticipated return to on-campus learning set for Jan. 25.

According to officials, the original plan for returning to campus which was approved and updated during the fall includes details about a process for returning to remote learning when needed. District leaders have been working all along with Georgia Department of Public Health District 4 officials,

Piedmont Henry Hospital executives, and county emergency management agency officials to monitor the COVID-19 situation, according to a statement released Jan. 4.
