Stonecrest updates road paving projects; many completed
The city of Stonecrest is going strong on completing road paving. Many projects are underway or completed. CONTRIBUTED
With the city of Stonecrest’s share of SPLOST funding, it will be investing slightly more than $7.8 million to repair and resurface more than 31 miles of Stonecrest roads as part of the 2021 paving program, according to a press release.
By following a planned approach for road maintenance, the City can make the best use of SPLOST funding while working to provide quality roads for the community.
The list below shows the resurfacing projects planned for this year, several are completed or are near completion. Projects can also be accessed on the city’s interactive map at stonecrestga.maps.arcgis.com.
- South Goddard Road from Klondike Road to Heights Ave SW
- Mall Parkway from Turner Hill Road to Stonecrest Parkway E
- Honeycreek Court from Mall Parkway till end its
- DeKalb Medical Parkway from Hillandale Drive to Covington Highway
- Rock Chapel Road from Braswell Street to State Route 124
- Railroad Street from Rock Street to Rock Chapel Road
- Minola Drive from Miller Road to Panola Road
- Klondike Road from Hayden Quarry Road to City limits
- Mall Parkway from Klondike Road to Turner Hill Road
- Panola Road from Snapfinger Woods Drives to Panola Way Lane
- Turner Hill Road from Hayden Quarry Road to I-20 WestBound
- McDaniel Mill Road from Falls Brooke Drive to Rockland Road
- Snapfinger Woods Drive from Acuity Way to Panola Road
- Miller Road from Panola Industrial Boulevard to Covington Highway
