Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw has unveiled a new logo.
“Our new logo helps us tell the SGG story through symbols and represents our focus on conservation,” said SGG Executive Director Ann Parsons.
“The hummingbird represents hummingbird and wild bird conservation; the butterfly represents the Gardens’ pollinator-friendly mission; the tulip represents the 15 beautiful themed garden areas and the leaf represents the important plant collections,” Parsons added of the four symbols, representing SGG’s core values.
The new SGG logo replaces the previous logo that had been in use since 2009.
At 2382 Pine Mountain Road, Kennesaw, SGG houses thousands of plants on 17 acres.
United by woodland paths, SGG consist of separate groupings with individual elements, including the Bonsai Exhibit, Paladino Camellia Garden, the largest crevice garden in Georgia, Rose Garden and American Conifer Society Reference Garden.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with holiday closures on Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Admission is $5 to $10 and free for SGG members and children 2 and under.
