Paid helpers are needed by the Cobb County Elections Prep Center to deliver and pick up elections supplies and equipment from polling places.

Pay is $17.68 per hour and approximate work times will be 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 25-30, Nov. 1, 3-6, 8 and 9. Work locations will be 2405 North Cobb Parkway, Kennesaw and 995 Roswell St., Marietta.

The E-SPLOST referendum and elections in the Cobb cities of Acworth, Austell, Kennesaw, Marietta and Powder Springs will be Nov. 2. If approved, E-SPLOST will continue to provide funding from the one-cent sales tax on all consumer goods for the Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools. That revenue can be used only for improving school facilities and keeping pace with technology for student learning. If needed, a runoff will be held Nov. 30.
