Woodstock invites residents to “Bring One for the Chipper” and recycle their Christmas trees in January.
The annual tree collection is set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Olde Rope Mill Park. The city asks participants to remove all lights and decorations from their trees. No artificial trees will be accepted.
The event is sponsored by the city, Georgia Forestry Commission, Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, Davey Tree Expert Co., Home Depot, 11Alive, W. Atlee Burpee & Co. and Ferry-Morse Seed Co.
