Two of the 57 swimmers from Cherokee County who qualified to participate in the Georgia Recreation and Parks Association Class A State Meet in July returned home as state champions.Cal Wiley secured a first-place win and a personal record of 16.99 in the Boys 8U 25-yard Fly event, and Genevieve McKinley earned first place and a personal record of 17.35 in the Girls 10U 25-yard Breaststroke event.
