A man was taken to a hospital after he walked in front of a MARTA bus as it was turning into a Midtown transit station Monday morning.

The man walked into the path of the vehicle and was hit outside the North Avenue station on the corner of West Peachtree Street, according to a MARTA official. His injuries were not disclosed, and an update on his condition was not provided.

No one on the bus was injured, MARTA spokeswoman Stephany Fisher said.

Lanes were temporarily closed on North Avenue while authorities investigated Monday morning.
