More than 1,900 voted in the poll, which called for people living in the DeKalb County city to choose which eatery is the best when craving tacos, burritos or enchiladas, to name a few.
Including the write-in options, residents had eight spots they could vote for. However, the write-in spots La Botana Tex Mex Restaurant and Buzy Burrito Taqueria didn’t garner any votes once added to the poll and tied for seventh place.
In sixth place was Cinco Mexican Cantina. The Perimeter Mall spot with with the slogan “Mexican Food with Attitude” garnered 1% of votes.
In fourth place, another tie emerged. This time, it was between Chuy’s and Uncle Julio's Mexican From Scratch. Each spot received 2% of votes.

Next are two spots that Dunwoody residents overwhelmingly voted for.
Second place went to El Azteca. The eatery offers daily specials and a variety of margaritas and daiquiris on its drink menu. It received 40% of votes.
But which Mexican spot did the people of Dunwoody choose at the best?
With 45% of votes, that title went to Los Rancheros Mexican Restaurant. Apparently, locals think people shouldn’t count out the low-key spot in a Dunwoody shopping plaza. The Mexican restaurant offers a classic menu that includes vegetarian fare, too.
