The latest Best of Dunwoody poll has made one thing clear: Dunwoody residents are serious about their favorite happy hour spots.
Hundreds of residents poured in with votes for their go-to locations for after work drinks — so much so that a write-in option took the top spot.

In total, 15 spots in the work and residential area of Dunwoody were included in the poll. Write-in nominees The Duke, Hobnob, and Wild Wing Cafe didn’t earn any votes and landed in ninth place. However, fellow write-ins The Bird, Marlow’s Tavern, Gilly’s Sports Bar and Porter Brew & Que Brewery earned 1% of votes. tying for eighth place.
With 2% of votes, O’Brien’s Tavern, another write-in nominee, earned seventh place.
Sixth place was a tie between Chuy’s and Sage Woodfire Tavern Perimeter, each of which earned 4% of votes. The fifth placeholder was Dunwoody Tavern, a write-in nominee that opened in 1996 as Croakies Bar and Grill. It earned 6% of votes. In fourth place was The Brass Tap, a perimeter bar that offers happy hour nearly every day of the week. It garnered 7% of votes. Third place went to Seasons 52, which is known for its ever-changing menu and happy hours during the week from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. It scored 8% of votes. Eclipse Di Luna took home second place after earning 21% of votes. Guests visit after work for half-off drinks and tapas including calamari, Spanish-style ribs and empanadas.

But only one place was deemed the best of the bunch. Moondog Growlers earned 44% of the votes to be voted the best spot for Dunwoody happy hour.
The Dunwoody Village bar is a dog-friendly establishment that, unlike other happy hour spots, focuses strictly on drinks. With 40 taps available, guests have plenty of drink options to wash down their pretzels.
