It's not too late to catch comedian Amy Schumer at her rescheduled Atlanta appearance. Schumer, who is in her second trimester, was initial scheduled to appear in September but had to postpone when she found out she was pregnant. Expect to hear Schumer sound off about everything from the personal to the political. Get a first look at Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse at the opening night preview party. The 10th annual showhouse is an 8,232-square-foot English country Buckhead estate on a 1.5-acre lot. The five bedroom home features a second floor gallery of windows, two stair halls and 11-foot ceilings. Be the first to see the holiday lights at night, meet the designers, tour the house and enjoy cocktails and bites at the opening night party. Cocktail attire requested. Uber suggested. LeVar Burton Reads Live!
LeVar Burton, the actor most well know for roles in "Roots" and "Star Trek", is also known as the "world's greatest storyteller." His podcast, LeVar Burton Reads, featuring short-fiction handpicked and read by Burton, has run for three seasons. Burton recently launched a live tour in October. In each city, an author hosts Burton. The Atlanta show will feature Roshani Chokshi. The event is for ages 13 and older. $30 - 100, 8 p.m., Nov. 14.
