Q: I’m on edge trying to find Thomas’ Corn English muffins. On a recent trip back to my hometown in Massachusetts, I was introduced to this delicacy. So delicious! I’ve been online to find a purchase location, but no one seems to stock it. I even asked Publix to special order me some, but I’ve not heard a word. That brings me to you, my only hope. — Marcy Haddocks, email
A: There are a handful of stores locally that stock your English muffins. You’ll find Thomas’ Corn English muffins for $4.29 a package at Publix, 4279 Roswell Road, Chastain Square, Atlanta, 404-843-4353.
Q: I have worn the fragrance Paloma Picasso for over 20 years. The fragrance is still available but I cannot find the lotion or powder. Can you? Thank you. — Angela Williamson, Brookhaven
A: Angela, the only place I’ve found any Paloma Picasso scented powder is through www.ebay.com. The lotion is a little easier to find, but not by much. Locally, you can get a gift set that comes with a 1.7-ounce eau de parfum and a 6.7-ounce tube of the lotion for $72.95 at Fragrance Outlet, North Georgia Premium Outlets, 706-216-7339. Of course, if you don’t need the perfume at that time, you can order a 6.7-ounce tube of the body lotion for $27.99 through www.overstock.com. At www.fragrancex.com, you’ll find the same size body lotion for $39.95, but you’ll get an excellent deal for the gift set at only $43.50.
Q: My husband and I once enjoyed the breakfast cereal, Ralston. We have been unable to find Ralston in any of the local grocery stores for several years. We would appreciate very much if you could assist us in locating this very hearty cereal. Thank you. — Jean Turner, Marietta
A: Jean, according to the person I spoke with at Ralston, which is owned by ConAGra Foods, the hot wheat cereal isn’t available in any local stores, only online. You can order it through www.amazon.com, which sells Ralston hot cereal in packs of six 20-ounce bags for $24.97. Ralston also is available through www.vermontcountrystore.com. However, the price is a bit higher. You’ll get three 20-ounce bags for $15.90.
Q: The best spot remover I’ve ever found is S-32. Publix does not carry it anymore. Do you know where I might find it? — Gary Margol, email
A: S-32 spot and stain remover comes from Gator Chemical in Florida. While inventory is spotty in a lot of Publix stores, it’s still available in a few. I found it at the Peachtree Battle Publix, 2365 Peachtree Road, Atlanta, 404-869-6556. You’ll find a 32-ounce bottle for $2.49.
