Q: My husband really likes the Neutrogena Rainbath Refreshing shower gel original. I always bought a large size at Costco. When the store quit carrying it, my hunt began! Much to my surprise, I could not find any size anywhere except online. I would rather not order online. By the way, the person in the pharmacy at Costco told me that she had many requests for this product. Any help would be very appreciated, especially in this dry skin season. Louise Magnuson, Dunwoody

A: Louise, I’m with you. I still pine for that fabulous 40-ounce Neutrogena Rainbath in the fresh original scent, and so do a lot of disappointed fans. I found it locally, but there’s a bit of a catch. While Costco no longer stocks the shower gel, it’s available in the same 40-ounce pump bottle for $17.48 at Sam’s Club, 2901 Clairmont Road, Atlanta, 404-325-4000. However, you don’t necessarily need to buy a membership to get the bath gel. Search online for “invitation to shop, Sam’s Club,” and you’ll find a one-day pass.

Q: Where can I find heating pads without the automatic shut off? All of them have a two-hour shut off. I’ve tried Walgreens, Wal-Mart, a few drug stores, and Publix and Kroger. Thank you. Lois Linzmaier, Cumming

A: You're right, Lois, heating pads without an automatic shutoff are pretty difficult to find. Most often, they're used for outdoor pets, a feral cat, for instance, but also by folks who rehabilitate wildlife when it's imperative to keep baby or infirmed animals warm throughout the night. Your best bet is to order the Sunbeam 756-500 heating pad with UltraHeat technology, which is one of the few non-pet versions you can find without a shut off feature. It measures 12 inches by 15 inches and has three heat settings. The pad remains on until you manually shut it off. It's available through www.amazon.com for $13.49. You also can get it for the same price through www.walgreens.com, but note that it's not available as a ship-to-store order.

Q: I’m careful with my salt intake, so I no longer buy a lot of processed condiments and dressings. A while back, I had a package of some herbs to make Green Goddess dressing. I don’t know the brand, and I don’t really care what brand I get as long as it doesn’t have salt in it. I’m not looking for those Good Seasons type of salad dressing mixes, just the herbs. Thank you. Al Brock, email

A: I found Penzeys salt-free Green Goddess dressing base, which combines various herbs, including basil and dill. It’s available in three sizes, with prices ranging from $3.45 to $7.49, at Penzeys, 6235 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, 404-256-7970.

Q: I have really dry skin. Where can I pick up AmLactin Ultra body cream? I believe it’s a Canadian product. Is it available around here? Thanks. C. Hopkins, Atlanta

A: AmLactin Ultra hydrating body cream is formulated with alpha hydroxy, allowing it to exfoliate as it softens and moisturizes skin. You’ll find several AmLactin lotions, including the Ultra hydrating body cream in the 4.9-ounce tube for $11.99, in the Harmon drugstore section of Bed Bath and Beyond, 130 Perimeter Center West, Atlanta, 770-673-0171.
